The Director of Broadcast and Technology position is responsible for increasing the quality and quantity of athletic contests broadcasted on behalf of SFA Athletics. Additionally, this position will be responsible for all video board production of all football and men's and women's basketball contests, which helps to increase the exposure and awareness of the institution. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: •Develops a visionary, creative and effective video communications unit that works collaboratively with the Director of Marketing and Revenue Generation and the Director of Fan Experience to deliver sound game day content •Serves as a liaison to ESPN Networks and other Southland Conference broadcast partners, production companies, other technology providers, and campus video directors to best coordinate television broadcasts, video streaming, web and social media video efforts, and game day stadium/arena productions •Assists with developing digital graphic designs and videos for websites, social media, emails, banner advertising, campus video boards and other projects as directed and needed •Directs and produces live, high definition video webcasts via the selected distribution platform •Produces feature video content for use as needed •Directs all video content on the football and basketball video displays to promote an exciting and interactive game day environment •Serves as a member of the External Operations team •Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in video production, mass communication, sports administration, fine arts or any other field related to duties and responsibilities
Experience employing and/or operating various cameras, light, audio and other video equipment
Minimum of 2 years of previous experience (intern, GA and professional experience applicable)
