The Inside Sales position will work to manage and grow sales territories as assigned, delighting customers throughout the world by delivering quality products with superior service. As a member of the inside sales team, this person plays a critical role in achieving company sales quotas and key performance metric expectations. Being an ambassador for the company, while promoting a collaborative team environment, they will be a critical part in delivering solutions to customers and/or connecting the customer with key internal support resources.
Key Job Elements:
Coordinate and follow up quotations within a reasonable timeframe.
Develop qualified leads and build relationships with customers.
Responsible for data integrity and keeping company database up to date.
Gather and react the customer’s feedback and analyze competitor information.
Work with Product Management and Marketing regarding Product Development ideas, related technical information, and to generate new business and marketing materials.
Assist customers, CSR’s, and other ADC’s by answering technical questions directly on the phone, via e-mail, or through marketing channels (such as web based inquiries) in two hours or less.
Complete and maintain detailed records of all technical questions.
Liaison with company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales and to ensure the timely resolution to technical related issues.
Collaborate with other departments of KJLC
Maintain and improve product and vacuum science knowledge.
Advise customers of related products to their technical issues by Up-Selling and Cross-Selling.
Provide continual evaluation of existing processes & procedures of our QMS and recommend process improvements.
Assist in providing on-the-job training for new employees.
Attend and participate in all technical training sessions provided by intercompany and external staff.
Fulfill Customer Service Representative duties as required.
Bachelor's Degree and/or at least 3 years of technical sales experience.
Competent in one or more areas of vacuum science and products.
Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
Project a positive attitude at all times.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, project management and communication skills.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or other ERP software.
Occasional overnight travel is required.
Proficient in one or more areas of vacuum science and products.
Engineering background and/or familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems.
Expert in all Microsoft Office applications.
