Position Summary:The Donor Relations Manager is responsible for the management of stewardship programs, advancement communications and donor events for the North Park University and Seminary, with the objective of increasing donor engagement and giving to the University and the Seminary. This position will also oversee our endowed scholarship stewardship program which includes working with gift officers and campus partners to match scholarship recipients and donors to prepare investment portfolios.
Plan and execute stewardship events (e.g. Festival of Lessons & Carols concert and dinner, scholarships recipient events, special donor events)
Implement a comprehensive stewardship plan for donors of less than $1,000, including premiums, events, communications, acknowledgement and recognition strategies, working in conjunction with the Director of Annual Giving & Recognition Societies, Major Gift Officers and Vice President for Advancement.
Implement a comprehensive stewardship plan for the top tier of donors in three major gift officer portfolios as well as provide donor relations support which includes providing updated information on schools and programs, trip preparation of communication materials.
Manage the stewardship of scholarship donors, including student awards, student/donor relations, endowment reports.
Oversee Seminary publications and donor stewardship.
Oversee and update the North Park University and North Park Theological Seminary Development web pages.
Work with the Office of University Marketing and Communications on communication pieces (print and web).
Assist with activities related to cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of existing donors and prospects (e.g. #NPUBlueandGoldDay, North Park’s Giving Day).
Work with and support President’s Club stewardship activities
Bachelor’s degree required
Professional experience in donor relations (or transferable professional experience) is highly desired.
Excellent organizational and oral/written communications skills.
Strong project management, time management and volunteer management skills.
Advanced knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office as well as an ability to use electronic databases and conduct sophisticated internet-based research. Raiser’s Edge experience is ideal.
Work closely with the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources as it relates to hiring, employee relations, personnel policies and protocols and accountability within those protocols.
