Information Technology - Media Services is seeking an individual to join our production team in delivering live two-way distance classes and producing other videography and media services.
Successful candidates will have proven records of success in project management, distance learning and operational management of technically complex services.
This position will join the team of Information Technology and work in close collaboration with Instructional Design and Development, academic departments, enrollment management and other campus partners involved in advancing the academic mission of the university.
Works in multiple creative forms across multiple media subjects, including photography, graphic design and digital printing, among others, to meet the university's media needs.
* Possesses a broad understanding of the job * Understands how the team integrates with others to accomplish team objectives * Coordinates production schedules, drafts scripts, and provides subject matter guidance to other team members * Sets own priorities in accordance with team needs * Impacts the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of the team * Exchanges ideas and information effectively with others within and outside of own team * Uses tact and diplomacy when dealing with others * Performs interviews to gather the necessary information for live and/or taped programs
* Produce, direct and deliver the live video production of credit, non-credit coursework, and ad hoc productions, utilizing ITMS equipment and facilities for distribution via internet live streaming, archived digital video files, video teleconferencing, audio conferencing and other delivery systems. During daily production the media producer will check in with the instructor before each class for special instructions, ensure all technology is functioning properly and all recordings are running, create a mastery level live production, monitor chat, and complete the daily log book. At the conclusion of each production the media producer will check posted files for quality, troubleshoot incongruities and submit technical issues through ticketing service. * Fill in for sick/absent peers. Be comfortable producing in any distance setting. * Other duties as assigned
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
* Previous media production experience * Must have experience producing synchronous and asynchronous course material * Must be well versed in the following software/hardware systems: Panopto lecture capture system, Zoom Meetings, NCast encoding systems, DataVideo switchers, Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suite 2016, PTZOptics camera control software
