The Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics (Penn LDI) is one of the first university programs to successfully cultivate multi-disciplinary research collaborations to improve the nationâ™s health care system. Penn LDIâ™s high-impact research is data-driven with a focus on policy and action. Working in close collaboration with the Executive Director and the Director of Fellow Engagement, the Project Manager is the main point of contact for Fellows at LDI and is responsible for supporting and implementing Penn LDIâ™s Fellow engagement initiatives and will be responsible for managing the Fellowsâ™ appointment process and onboarding. He/she will also manage and implement new Fellow engagement initiatives, such as Fellow trainings and educational activities. Working with the Managing Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for planning Fellows engagement events such as: Fall Kick-off, new Fellows breakfasts, AcademyHealth Party, LDI Annual Retreat. The Project Manager will also be accountable for compiling data, statistics and other information and materials pertaining to Fellows for internal reporting. In addition, the Project Manager will help manage the LDI Pilot Grant program, new strategic initiatives as needed, and act as a back-up resource to the LDI Executive Administrative Assistant when needed. The Project Manager will interact with a variety of faculty members, staff, and students throughout the university, so strong interpersonal communication skills are essential. High accuracy, strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, dependability, and attention to detail will be vital to success in the position. The Project Manager should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A Bachelorâ™s degree with 3 to 5 years experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Masterâ™s degree and 5 to 7 years preferred. Educational background and/or professional experience in health care or health policy preferred. The Project Manager must be analytically skilled, thrive in multi-tasking environments, and be a self-starter with a results orientation. The Project Manager will interact with a variety of faculty members, staff, and students throughout the university and individuals outside the university, so strong interpersonal communication skills are essential. High accuracy, strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, dependability, and attention to detail will be vital to success in the position. The Project Manager should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
