Under the general direction of the Executive Director and Director of Programs and Partnerships for the Center for Equity for English Learners (CEEL), the CEEL Research Associate: (1) provides research services such as design of research protocols and tools, data collection and oversight of data entry, quantitative and qualitative analyses, and summaries; (2) conducts literature reviews and provides summaries; (3) interfaces with internal and external research partners to facilitate meeting research and evaluation goals and objectives. Relying on an in-depth knowledge of PreK-12 education and other related disciplines and literature, the Associate will contribute to CEEL's research and evaluation agenda.
Typically a M. Sc. or M. A. Degree in Higher Education or related field or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree required. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience required. Graduate level coursework and/or experience in project management and implementation in a PK-12 or higher education setting required; experience in research preferred. Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of: quantitative and qualitative methodology, diversity issues in higher education, diversity data collection and analysis.
