The HITS Service Management division provides outstanding products, services, and support that focuses on our customers – physicians, faculty, researchers, students, and staff. The team designs and manages foundational products and services, including collaboration tools, audiovisual and conference rooms, and device services. Service Management provides consulting, information design, user experience analysis, and custom development of software applications and websites while managing and improving the tools and systems of work used by HITS staff. The team’s expertise in communication, user advocacy, and engagement helps to ensure that HITS continues to meet customer requirements.
The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of business systems analysts, project managers & other technical professionals in gathering requirements, estimating, and designing vendor-based solutions. You will work with enterprise groups to produce optimal, high-level design for application integration. You will be responsible for analyzing and translating business, information and technical requirements into a service model, or architectural blueprint that outlines solutions that realize business objectives. You will be part of a team that implements enterprise-level solutions that integrate vendor applications into our data, and systems environment. You will stay abreast of organizational changes in process, policy and standards as they relate to the architecture or service and design principles, with an emphasis on security. While staying current with emerging technologies and solutions you will be responsible for critical analysis and complex work within a broader technical and business context related to service design or process. In this role you will have the opportunity to lead the design process by comparing and evaluating various courses of action with the authority to make independent decisions on matters of design, free from immediate direction.
Formulates and defines application scope and objectives.
Collaborating with Business Analysts & Project Mgrs. to outline technical requirements during all phases of application lifecycle to ensure solutions are viable and consistent.
Prepare application architecture diagrams that include integrations and data flow.
Perform application configuration & integration for all applications within their assigned portfolio.
Performs risk mitigation to ensure that application’s underlying technology stack is current and properly maintained.
Assist with troubleshooting technical issues with applications, as needed.
Assist with performing maintenance or upgrading existing applications, as needed.
Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
3-5 Years of experience working as a Systems Analyst, Application/Solution Architect.
Experience in IT Infrastructure (Windows Server Platform) and cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) relative to application platforms.
Experience working with ETL processing and scripting.
Strong analytical thinking.
Strong problem-solving capacity.
Solid technical design capability.
Strong knowledge of data visualization tools.
High level written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
