The IT Business Analyst is part of the ProjectManagement Office within Vanderbilt University Information Technology and is akey individual contributor responsible for gathering, defining, analyzing anddocumenting requirements, assisting with developing technical solutions tobusiness problems, in addition to managing resources and schedules,facilitating requests, analyzing documents and maintaining system processes andprocedures. The IT BA will directly manage some small projects includingInfrastructure Environment builds alongside a project manager

Coordinatesthe activities of the solution teams to meet the business need.
Interpretsbusiness needs for technical teams.
Translatestechnical questions into business terms.
Managesrequests, timelines and schedules effectively.
Coordinateswith customers to ensure timely completion of testing and requirements toensure delivery of solutions.
Understandsthe goals of the business and impacts of business goals.
Works withstandard project management (Planview Enterprise) and office tools.
Assists withstrategic planning and policy development.
This position does not have direct supervisoryresponsibility; the position reports administratively and functionally to thePMO Manager.
A Bachelor'sdegree from an accredited institution of higher education is necessary.
A CertifiedBusiness Analyst Professional (CBAP) is preferred.
At least twoyears of experience as a business analyst is necessary.
Demonstratedstrong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
Ability totake abstract ideas and rationalize into processes is necessary.
Ability tocompile presentations, and other informational documents as needed for specifictarget audiences is necessary.
Ability todevelop detailed documentation as related to approved work requests isnecessary.
Ability tomake written and oral presentations to solutions teams and customer forums isnecessary.
Ability tocompile information from various sources to create material necessary toprovide organizational transparency is necessary.
Skill incoordinating communications with appropriate stakeholders is necessary.
