Position Summary: The Constituent and Event Data Manager provides comprehensive systems support for Institutional Advancement and is responsible for management of technology used to support constituent engagement. The Constituent and Event Data Manager supports the Advancement Information Systems team in database administration, data governance, and data integrity projects; and assists in training of Institutional Advancement staff on the appropriate use of technology.
This position administers iModules and related systems in support of constituent engagement and delivers customer service to the division through the administration of internal requests and ticketing queues. The Constituent and Event Data Manager understands institutional needs and delivers sustainable technological solutions in Ellucian CRM Advance, iModules, and other advancement technologies.
Advancement Information System Support (40%)
Oversee the creation and use of external-facing content, including event and giving pages on iModules and Ellucian CRM Advance in support of effective constituent engagement.
Ensure that the creation and use of content aligns with institutional needs and policies, including reporting requirements and YU integration standards for Ellucian Products/iModules.
Prioritize tasks, escalate issues, and serve as a liaison between Advancement Operations, Institutional Advancement, iModules Committee, Information Technology Services, and iModules application support.
Provide project management support for a range of operational and data-related initiatives, ensuring adherence to timelines and documented expectations.
Provide leadership in iModules Committee initiatives related to Content and Strategic Engagement.
Participate in divisional and institutional data governance discussions.
Deliver and Maintain System Data-Quality Processes (30%)
Ensure activities are recorded accurately in the database and assist in identifying and resolving data integrity issues related to the tracking of key data elements, including event invitations and attendance, outgoing communications and solicitations, and biographical data updates.
Create and update documentation related to data processes and procedural decision making across the divisions user groups.
Assist in development and oversight of data quality initiatives related to Banner Advancement and CRM Advance, including the creation and monitoring of data integrity dashboards and the merging of duplicate records.
End-User Training and Support (20%)
Provide end-user training on iModules, CRM Advance, and other advancement technologies.
Serve as a primary point of contact for iModules related needs and questions; deliver transparency in the tracking and completion of incoming requests.
Train users in accurately recording activities related to constituent engagement in current and future databases.
Administrative Duties (10%)
Manage administrative functions for Advancement Operations, including organization of meetings and the communication of needs surrounding external-facing systems and projects.
Coordinate data-related efforts with functional teams in Institutional Advancement, including Information Services, Research and Prospect Management, Gift Processing, Donor Relations, and Event Management. This may include assistance in data entry, production of pledge reminders, creation and distribution of communication lists, or other functional needs of advancement staff.
Interact professionally and maintain regular communication across the Department of Institutional Advancement and with other key areas of the university.
Experience & Educational Background:
3 years of Institutional Advancement, or fundraising experience
2 years of Institutional Advancement support systems experience
iModules or similar emailing marking system experience
Ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with technical and non-technical staff
Skills & Competencies:
Familiarity with Yeshiva University and its mission is a plus
Strong project management skills
Ability to interact professionally with board members, alumni, colleagues and others, as needed in this service-oriented role
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to write, edit and post online
Discretion and confidentiality
Excellent calendar management skills
Well organized and flexible
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Familiarity with Jewish community and communal organizations is a plus
