The Communications Department is seeking an innovative Senior Editorial Manager . You will manage MSK publications and be responsible for the implementation of brand voice in all editorial work produced or evaluated by the Communications Department. This team member will act as key point to build collaborative relationships with project stakeholders across MSK and identify unique storytelling opportunities.

Develop editorial creative roadmap for print publications, including innovative storytelling ideas, editorial packages and digital extensions.
Serve as managing editor for print and digital projects including flagship publication MSK News, annual report, patient brochures, e-newsletter MSK Now, and other large-scale institutional, patient-facing initiatives.
Establish schedule and timeline for content deliverables and manage workflow to ensure adherence to production timeline.
Responsible for the distribution cycle to various MSK departments and teams and for establishing a regular metrics reporting cadence.
Generate ideas for large-scale editorial projects for MSK's print and Web channels, including the integration of multimedia.
Search for storytelling opportunities throughout the institution.
Recruit and manage a team of freelance writers and editors who will contribute content across MSK platforms.
Serve as subject matter expert and institution-wide point of contact for brand voice and language.
Partner with departments and staff across MSK including senior leadership, clinical teams, and research staff to develop a variety of materials for internal and external audiences and to provide counsel on editorial projects.
Liaise with outside organizations, agencies and strategic healthcare partners, to uphold consistency in content across publications.
Review and approve materials created within the Department of Communications produced for outside partnerships, including marketing and direct-to-consumer copy.
Train and advise internal partners on brand voice and guidelines.
Bachelors Degree with minimum 4 years of professional experience
Extensive copyediting experience
Past supervisory experience preferred #LI-POST
