The George Mason University School of Business has an opportunity for a Term Faculty appointment to teach Accounting. The position will start Fall 2020. The initial appointment will be for one academic year, with a potential opportunity for renewal. Salary will be commensurate with experience and level.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include teaching various Accounting courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs; and service to the Accounting Area, the School of Business, the University and the profession, such as student mentoring, committee membership, and interfacing with the business community. The teaching load for this position is determined according to the School's workload policy.
Ph.D. or the combination of a MBA/M.S. in accounting with a desired professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CMA, CISA);
Significant teaching experience and knowledge to work in the online space to create materials, support existing programs and teach stand-alone courses; and
Good citizenship is critical as is the ability to work well with colleagues.
Accounting Area: The Accounting Area has diverse research and teaching interests. We offer a vibrant, ambitious and collegial research and teaching community. Research is highly valued in the area and at the school. At present, there are 24 full-time faculty members in the area. The Accounting Area faculty has published in many of the premier accounting journals including The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Contemporary Accounting Research, and Review of Accounting Studies, as well as other top journals.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
