The Air Force ROTC at West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Supply Clerk. This position will procure, inventory and issue uniforms to Air Force ROTC cadets. The Supply Clerk will also manage all financial aspects such as purchase orders, accounts payable, and bookkeeping of the uniform commutation, resale and deposit funds.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Manage uniform/uniform insignia inventory composed of over 50 separate items.
Assess inventory requirements versus inventory on hand.
Purchase, through Air Force Military Clothing Sales and other approved vendors, items necessary to retain an adequate uniform supply on hand.
Prepare and process all paper work for the purchase, issue, resale and/or return of all uniform items, includes using WVU procurement card, inventory receipt forms, deposit forms, as well as documentation required by the USAF.
Maintain digital records showing all financial transactions. Strict adherence to WVU and USAF accounting practices/procedures is required.
Ensure uniforms are properly laundered and alterations, as required, are made.
Provide daily customer service.
Pay Grade: 7
High School diploma or GED
Prior military experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of basic inventory management principles
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping skills
Ability to work without direct supervision
Strong customer service skills
Good computer skills
