Under the direction of the Vice President for Enrollment Management, and working closely with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and partner institutions, the Assistant Vice President for Transfer Partnerships and Recruitment oversees the ongoing development of domestic articulation agreements and academic partnerships, and sets the strategy for the recruitment of transfer students. The Assistant Vice President is responsible for the continued development of mutually beneficial articulation agreements and academic partnerships, and ensuring that transfer recruitment strategies and partnership activities are properly aligned. The Assistant Vice President for Transfer Partnerships and Recruitment leads in developing relationships with key community colleges, creating transfer-specific admission policies, identifying future opportunities, and providing leadership, support, and training for continued staff development. The Assistant Vice President for Transfer Partnerships and Recruitment oversees operational activities and work flows to ensure effectiveness and leads enhancements in operations in conjunction with other team members
Minimum 5 years of administrative experience in higher education and transfer initiatives Extensive knowledge of articulation and reverse transfer agreements and partnerships. Experience with transfer advising tools, including transfer guides and transfer plans. Successful experience working across campus units, with provosts, deans, faculty, registrars, and admissions teams. Excellent leadership, team management, project management, and decision-making skills. Ability to adapt effectively and quickly to changing policies and requirements. Proven ability to streamline complex processes and systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong technology proficiency, especially with student information systems and MS Office Suite. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the institution and with external partners. Experience in diversity recruitment and the ability to work with a diverse population. Understanding of contemporary recruitment practices, trends, and products.
Preference for experience at both 4-year and 2-year institutions. Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in college admissions or academic setting leading transfer student initiatives preferred.
