As an Email Producer you will be responsible for the successful coding, editing, quality assurance (QA) and deployment of outbound email campaigns including editing of existing templates to customize emails and basic web pages for our internal clients. You will also work with project managers to understand their project needs/priorities and take the appropriate actions.
As a Web Content Coordinator you will be responsible for updating HTML content in various content management systems such as Blackbaud Internet Solutions, Drupal and Wordpress.
As a proven teammate, expect your time breakdown to be roughly:
70% email production
25% web content management/coordination
5% everything else (retreats, exploring new tech, special projects)
This is a full time, two year term limited position with possibility to extend or transition to open-ended. The position qualifies for U-M benefits.
The ideal candidate is someone who can pay exceptional attention to details, can follow process and has previous experience with any content management system (professional, educational, personal or through volunteer work). A basic understanding of HTML/CSS is required as editing existing code will be essential to this position.
Email Production (70%)
Create email messages from a template and deploy the email campaign
Edit existing templates
Perform quality assurance on emails
Generate email metrics and communicate with clients
Coordinate with project managers in production of mass emails
Perform basic routine updates of existing content on various websites Calendaring, documenting, recording and maintaining records of all projects
Uploading images and files to our server and repository
Web Content Support (25%)
Perform basic quality assurance
Monitor site content and ensure information displayed on the website is accurate and current
Update content in a variety of electronic media such as Blackbaud Internet Solutions other production tools
Work closely with all team members to provide help and support to other areas when needed
Additional Duties (5%)
Completes other projects and duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a related field, and 0-2 years experience
Exceptional attention to details to deliver highest quality service with highest degree of accuracy
Self starter and quick learner
Service minded and professional at all times
Familiarity with HTML/CSS
Experience using Google Apps including Gmail, Google Docs and Google Calendar
Excellent verbal and written communication, and familiar with principles of writing for the web
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, assume responsibility, exercise good judgment and communicate effectively
Effective time management, excellent organizational skills, problem solving and analytical skills, and able to follow process
Ability to quickly identify and address operational and process issues, and escalate to supervisor when needed
Possesses a can-do attitude
Experience with building and deploying email campaigns in a high volume environment
Familiarity with full email marketing lifecycle across multiple teams and units
A functional understanding of content management systems (CMS)
Experience with using a repository/version control (Git.), experience with using a ticketing system (JIRA)
