ISU Dining is seeking applicants for an Administrative Specialist I. This position provides executive level administrative assistance for five senior management staff in a very large and complex department. This position administers decisions regarding policies and procedures requiring interpretation and judgment. Assists upper management by having thorough knowledge of functions, policies, operational needs, current office management practices and principles, and accounting/budgetary controls. This position will assist with various budget, human resources (HR), accounting, and payroll processes and procedures. The successful candidate will possess independent judgment, initiative, discretion, and reasoning skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to work under pressure in a busy office environment with a variety of people and circumstances and consistently project a friendly and professional demeanor. Must be able to analyze, understand, and communicate complex issues. Must be have the ability to prioritize and coordinate a wide variety of activities and tasks; and have the ability to interpret University and division administrative policies and procedures for staff.
