Credit Portfolio Group - Trading - Analyst/Associate - London
TheDifferential Discounting Trading Desk (DDT) is looking to hire an additionalteam member to be based in London, reporting into the Desk head.
DDTrisk manage JPMs collateralized derivative funding exposures primarily throughthe use of Interest Rate products such as IRS, Xcy basis, OIS basis, and FX. In addition to this DD Trading also Risk Manageand report an additional independent trading book for the Corporate andInvestment Bank's Treasury (CIBT) primarily focused toward unsecuredexposures. DDT also structure andexecute large scale portfolio optimization trades across the Bank's derivativesportfolio. Given DDTs centralisedposition within the Firm, the desk often play an important role in manyFirm-wide initiatives from strategy setting through to implementation. As an entry level position, the role willallow the successful candidate to gain experience in many of these areas withan initial focus toward the administration of the Trading Book.
DDT ispart of the Collateral Management & Optimisation group (CMO) and ultimatelyreports into the Markets businesses within JPM
This is an entry level trading seat. Initially the individual will not be required to Risk Manage/Trade the Book. However, they should demonstrate the aptitude to do this in the future.
Analysis and reconciliation of risk positions
Analysis and communication of market and risk information to senior traders and internal stakeholders
Production and maintenance of daily risk and P&L metrics
Management and publication of wider Desk Metrics
General Desk and project administration
The individual will be expected to keep up to date with current and future Regulatory changes with a view to identifying future business opportunities
Project Management: Management of a range of projects for DDT, working with a number of internal stakeholders across Sales, Trading, Operations, Technology, Treasury and Business Management
CSA Amend approvals
Good quantitative skills, to degree level in a related discipline
This is an entry level role, no experience is necessary although 1-2yrs of experience within a Trading environment or Investment Banking internship will be considered
Ambitious self-starter, able to perform in team environment
Ability to make sound decisions within time and or information constraints
Interest in global financial markets and an understanding of Rates derivative products
Strong communication & organization skills
Must be highly motivated, be an independent thinker and intellectually curious
Ability to network across different lines of businesses
Able to demonstrate drive and a track record of results delivery
FCA/FINRA (Series 7) approved preferred
Strong work ethic essential.
