The Support Services IT director position is responsible for over 70 employees and four direct support areas (Support services, Enterprise Support, IT procurement (hardware and software) and the Computer Lab Management office) in Information Services. IT personnel with supervisory, budgetary and technical skills would be a great fit for this position. The position is primarily a standard M-F workweek but does require some night and weekend support in case of emergencies.
Bachelor degree. 5+ years' experience in the direct delivery of IT support. 3+ year's supervisory experience. Employee must carry a cell phone where they can be reached for emergency support.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to think strategically, as well as tactically, and to exercise sound judgment in problem solving and priority/goal setting
Budget management and project management skills. Strong technical and analytical skills
Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams and departments
Ability to mentor and lead less experienced colleagues, both within and outside of the department
Ability to provide operational leadership and guidance to department staff
Full Time/Part Time
Compensation commensurate with experience.
