Minimum salary for this position is $4,937. The University of Michigan – Flint invites applications for a part-time faculty position at the Lecturer I level for the period of September 3 through December 17, 2019. The position entails teaching a 3-credit course, CSC 382 Software Engineering. The most recently adopted textbook is Software Engineering, 8th edition by Pressman. The course is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:45 PM. The budget for this position is for the fall 2019 term only.
Prospective candidates should minimally possess a graduate degree in Computer Science or other closely related field with a doctorate degree preferred. Experience in post-secondary teaching required.
Relevant work and teaching experience is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with students effectively in a digital environment is essential.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
