Job Description Summary
The position provides administrative support to the HCM Program Director and Chair of the Department. Primary responsibilities include staffing all key HCM MBA and undergraduate program activities and events. Maintains student and alumni databases. Assists Wharton Health Care Management Alumni Association on an as-needed basis. Frequent communication with applicants for admission, students, alumni and outside visitors. This position requires a high degree of coordination, planning, attention to detail, and adaptability to shifting priorities. Independent execution and implementation required. Frequent interaction with students and alumni required.
Provide administrative support to HCM Program Director in managing admissions process. Respond to applicant inquiries, arrange campus visits and interviews, maintain admissions files and statistics. Assist in coordinating student recruitment and placement activities. Manage production of resume brochure, coordinate summer internship information, compile placement statistics and salary survey. Provide staff support to Field Application course, manage client proposals, schedule and plan workshop meeting and tutorials, invoice clients, compile grading materials. Coordinate MBA Mentor Program, gather alumni bios, coordinate student/mentor matching process. Provide administrative support to the Wharton HC Alumni Association. Serve as liaison for all on-campus events such as conferences, reunions, board meetings. Maintain alumni databases. Provide administrative support to all student activities such as HC Club, undergraduate HC Club, conferences, speaker series and other extracurricular activities. Create a schedule for the academic year anticipating faculty meetings, recurring programs and events. Oversee and implement schedule and related facilities needs. Assist Departmental faculty and staff as requested.
High school diploma and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Excellent verbal, organizational, interpersonal and written skills are a must. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Google applications required. Strong organizational and project management skills required. Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with a variety of people on a plethora of tasks
