Job Title: Donor Engagement Manager Department: Fund Development Classification: Exempt Supervisor: Director of Communications and Philanthropy
Position Overview: The Donor Engagement Manager will play an integral role in fundraising for GSMIDTN. This individual will oversee the management of the donor database (Raiser’s Edge), support all current fundraising and donor communication initiatives, as well as lead new initiatives to expand the fundraising efforts of the council throughout the 39-county service area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all data activities inside Raiser’s Edge. Generate requested data, mailing lists, reports and analyses in suitable formats that may require use of complex queries and/or data export and manipulation. Handle all functions of gift entry including batch processing, donor acknowledgements, digital record keeping, etc. Establish an annual appeal plan and work collaboratively with communications to execute each portion of the plan. Create and execute innovative giving opportunities in a variety of media and formats. Develop, initiate and lead an alumni engagement strategy to reengage former Girl Scouts as donors, volunteers and advocates for GSMIDTN. Serves as Fund Development representative in monitoring outlying county giving and potential for increased donations and engagement. Work collaboratively with all departments to maintain substantial knowledge of current Girl Scout impact and be able to translate that knowledge into meaningful donor messaging. Play an active role in the development and execution of an annual development plan to successfully meet budgeted fundraising goals. Work with Communications Department to ensure donors receive proper recognition for gifts and sponsorships.

Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of three to five years experience in nonprofit fundraising. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of and experience with Raiser’s Edge. Strong written and oral communications skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to craft compelling communication pieces that accurately portray the mission of Girl Scouting. Knowledge of and belief in Girl Scout mission. Familiarity with the Girl Scout program model and local opportunities highly desirable. Organized, independent thinker and self-starter. Ability to problem solve independently to achieve desired outcomes. Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule, including some evening and weekend work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. The employee may lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
