Applies professional concepts to perform basic financial or resource analysis to understand past performance and determine present and future performance and/or resource allocation of workshops and custom trainings.
Under general supervision, provides analytical support for simple to moderate budget, financial or resource analysis projects.
Reviews client contracts, responsible for tracking contracts and collecting associated payments (these may be wire transfer or come in as a check) for programming, oversee organization of custom programs and any related special circumstances such as hotel accommodations, transportation, and creating schedules for participants.
Receives more detailed instructions for new assignments.
Implements department budget allocations and maintains department chart of accounts, and related business processes.
Chart of accounts for a business don't align with an educational institution.
Creating a process for aligning accounts for the journalism school to roll up revenue and expenses requires detailed analysis and a road-map that allows all parties to track important data.
Hires contractors, & instructors on a regular basis, making decisions as to what type of contract, honorarium or other form of payment is appropriate.
Developing processes that align with the business model and the universities' payment protocol..
Gathers and analyzes financial and/or resource data; prepares and summarizes information and/or recommendations.
Analyzes financial data; prepares and summarizes information in easily understandable reports to aid in decision making.
An example is analyzing purchasing history of workshop attendees over the past 6 years to determine future pricing and discount models.
Prepares basic financial and resource reports and/or analysis for internal department constituents.
Responsible for group purchases, which may include advertising, and marketing, and reconciling accounts. Examples include periodic financial reports, staff/faculty salary budgets, contracts, or user fees.
Has some knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems.
Has ability to gather, organize, and perform basic financial analysis assignments.
Requires ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally.
Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and common desktop/web applications.
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Salary & Benefits This position is a non-exempt, bi-weekly paid position. Hourly pay for this role is commensurate with experience.
This role is not eligible for UC Benefits.
