The College of Design at Iowa State University is now accepting applications for a Studio Support Coordinator to support the growth and development of Design Students through their studio course by maintaining the collegeâs studio spaces.
Primary responsibilities include: assisting with the day-to-day operations of the studios, overseeing student employment, performing maintenance and repairing equipment, inventorying and purchasing tools and material, overseeing studio safety and certification, and holding training sessions for students and faculty, as required.
The successful candidate will possess knowledge of machine vendors and replacement parts; general maintenance; familiarity with woodworking tools and safety regulations in a digital fabrication environment. In addition, the candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students in the development of the studio projects and ability to work evenings and weekends, when required.
