The Opportunity The National Health Service (NHS) and the wider healthcare industry in the UK is facing significant challenges as it seeks to digitise ways of working and achieve Government ambitions to become paperless, while also seeking to realise the huge opportunity for operational efficiencies and improvements in patient outcomes that can be enabled through the use of technology. Join our rapidly-growing Healthcare Technology Team and work with us in supporting clients to address some of the high profile challenges currently being faced. Our team is passionate about making an impact that matters, to both our clients and the patients that they serve. We are looking for likeminded individuals who have operational experience within healthcare in delivering large-scale, technology-enabled transformation programmes, either from direct operational roles or from advisory roles. Role Context The world is constantly changing and organisations have to adapt to respond to new risks and take advantage of new opportunities. Deloitte's Risk Advisory practice advises its clients on how to effectively manage risk and make informed and intelligent risk decisions around strategy, business processes, technology and operations. As a part of delivering the Five Year Forward View outlined by NHS England, public sector healthcare providers are required to make significant clinical and operational decisions around their models of care delivery, and important commercial decisions on their clinical information systems and the use of technology to deliver meaningful change and improved patient outcomes. The scale of change necessary is not without risk, and is requiring significant effort, cultural change, effective leadership, collaboration, and financial investment in order to be successful. To support the needs of our clients, the Healthcare Technology Team focuses on the following principal work areas:
Risk and Assurance - Supporting clients to identify and manage risks associated with technology, to identify and recommend practical enhancements to their systems of governance and control.
Business cases - Supporting clients to gain confidence in their technology programme implementation plans through the Business Cases for investment and change as a tangible output of preparations and engagement.
Implementation Support & Optimisation - Supporting clients to manage risks associated with technology enabled change, utilising our operational experts and knowledge of clinical settings.
Strategic Support - Supporting NHS leaders to assess their strategic agenda, including national and local strategies, delivery capability and mechanisms for delivery. To meet increased market demand, we are seeking to grow our Healthcare Technology team within Risk Advisory. We are seeking individuals with the drive, leadership and vision to manage the delivery of technology risk engagement and further develop our client portfolio within the healthcare market. Role Description We are seeking an exceptional individual, from industry or practice, with hands-on experience related to the planning and delivery of technology-enabled transformation programmes, such as Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programmes. Experience of assessing service provider transformation capacity and capability or optimising a healthcare provider's use of technology will also be beneficial. As a senior member of our Healthcare Technology Team, you will have the commercial experience and capability necessary to lead our implementation support and technology optimisation engagements, working closely with Directors, Partners and other Healthcare Technology leaders. The role will require you to maintain your relationships within the NHS, and develop new relationships with clients to build a pipeline of new opportunities for the practice. In doing so, you will help build a level of eminence in the marketplace that gives you the platform to support the team's strategic growth ambitions over the long-term. The role will also entail developmental responsibilities, in supporting the promotion of exceptional individuals within the team around you in order to support these growth plans. You will work closely with high-performing, experienced individuals, both within Deloitte and from our clients. Deloitte staff are frequently the individuals within our clients' programmes who drive a step-change improvement in the speed and quality of delivery. We are looking for an individual with exceptional motivation, drive and commitment to achieve this positive impact for our clients and further build our reputation and brand. Risk Advisory is one of the fastest growing teams in Deloitte. We can offer unrivalled career growth and learning opportunities. If you have a proven track record in any of the above disciplines either from Industry or Professional Services, we would like to speak with you. This is a permanent role and will be based in London. Responsibilities The role will have responsibility for:
Supporting business development by leading new business proposals and having an integral role in industry and account teams.
Working with a range of client stakeholders, and being seen as a subject matter expert within client organisations and by colleagues, developing and maintaining deep industry knowledge.

Leading the delivery of client projects by managing client relationships, developing the scope and engagement plan, managing team members, engagement financials, and overseeing the production of high quality deliverables.
Contributing to internal practice development by participating in proposition, methodology and point of view development activities and supporting knowledge capture and sharing.
Leading by example, and demonstrating the firm's values and leadership charter, both internally with colleagues and externally with clients and stakeholders. The nature of work varies, but your work is likely to involve the following:
Working with senior leadership teams at NHS organisations to align technology-enabled programmes with strategic priorities.

Working with NHS leaders to identify, quantify and support the delivery of financial and non-financial benefits related to technology-enabled transformation programmes.
Assessing the change impact of transformation programmes and supporting the development of innovative approaches and ideas to deliver organisational change through better use of technology across the NHS.
