JPMorgan Chase Corporate Real Estate is responsible for a worldwide occupancy portfolio of 80 million square feet across 65 countries in over 7,700 properties. The Global Real Estate Finance team manages a gross global expense base of over $4 billion.
We are currently seeking a dynamic finance professional with a strong record of accomplishment to join our EMEA Real Estate team.
The Analyst role within the EMEA Real Estate finance function is part of a team responsible for Core finance activities such as reporting, analytics, planning and financial modeling for business strategy. The team plays an important role in supporting the Real estate strategy across JP Morgan.
This is a business partnership role, the candidate will be required to interact with cross functional stakeholders within the Real Estate function and finance folks across the JP Morgan Lines of Business on a daily basis.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Support the GRE EMEA finance team in key activities including reporting, forecasting, planning and adhoc requests.
Support financial modelling for EMEA wide real estate strategies including portfolio acquisitions, dispositions and leases. This includes NPV and Payback analytics
Build an excellent working partnership with the EMEA Operations and Project management teams (Design and Construction, Critical system & facilities, Security, Transactions, Strategy).
Own the 5 year Capital plan for the EMEA Region. Liaise with the Project managers to obtain project level inputs, review and effectively challenge assumptions and exercise judgement to layer in appropriate finance inputs at an overall level.
Calculate and provide the monthly estimate for the Capital plan and depreciation (key driver of the Real estate cost base), analyze key variance drivers to provide context to the leadership team. Connect the dots to proactively identify leading indicators affecting future projects and related financial impact.
Support and provide input to the Real estate finance team to publish key reports to the business stakeholders including the Monthly finance pack, Budget review pack, Capital plan etc.
Support the Real estate finance team and business finance teams across EMEA to ensure that the financial impact of the Real estate strategy is accurately reflected.
Provide detailed analytics on the portfolio including the volume and rate impact, demand / supply, financial walks to budget to articulate key variance drivers.
Challenge the existing operating model and proactively drive the simplification and automation agenda to improve process efficiencies and build stronger controls to mitigate process risks.
Experienced finance professional (5+ years experience)
Preferred experience in expense analysis, budgeting and forecasting including knowledge of Corporate Financial systems including: Essbase, MS Excel
Candidate must be a confident communicator (verbal, written and listening) who is used to dealing with numerous partners / stakeholders
Works well under pressure, priortises and manages time well and manages stakeholder expectations
Adaptable to changing situations, anticipates needs appropriately and executes deliverables in a timely manner
Strong control mindset, with an attention to detail. The candidate should have the confidence to challenge the status quo, set the agenda, generate ideas and proactively drive solutions to problems
Ability to influence and direct the activities of resources outside of direct control
Strong interpersonal, communication and team-building skills
Ability to manage several projects and tasks concurrently
