Job Summary: Under general supervision, responsible for supporting grant seeking and budgeting for the Agricultural Sustainability Institute (ASI) and its units, major initiatives, and projects. Roles will include, but are not limited to supporting ASI programmatic leads and the ASI director and Proposal Coordinator in the preparation and submission of grant proposals and supporting the ASI Budget and Financial Analyst in budget construction, projections, management, and summary reporting.

Work Environment: -Work very occasional overtime including evenings and weekends to meet operational needs.
-Work in open workspace environment with office noise and conversations.

Minimum Qualifications: -Ability to learn and develop understanding of applicable federal, state, local, sponsor and institutional regulations, policies, and guidelines.
-Organizational and time management skills to coordinate projects and people, prioritize and track multiple projects simultaneously, and meet critical deadlines.
-Experience performing routine financial analysis and reporting.
-Oral and written communication skills to interact with diverse groups of individuals to research, secure and/or provide information, clarify situations, resolve problems, and ensure cooperation among individuals.
-Proficiency using word processing, graphics, and spreadsheet software to create and format documents and organize information.
-Ability to learn new software systems, including collaborative software tools and/or research administrative systems, such as Cayuse software.
-Experience writing, editing and proofing including using language accurately and creatively; recognizing and using correct English grammar, spelling and punctuation.
-Highly detail oriented? ability to work accurately and quickly.
Preferred Qualifications: -Experience interpreting and applying various funding agencies' technical requirements and procedures, including state and federal scientific funding agencies.
-Experience developing and revising project budgets to reflect project needs, including salary and benefit projections.
