Provide high-level design solutions for a variety of integrated communications projects across multiple media platforms with strong emphasis on online solutions i.e., branding, design development, and technical implementation of the University’s Website as well as other online, print and video projects.
Designs innovative and comprehensive visual and functional solutions for new and current Websites. Develops functional micro-site environments, online promotions, ad banners, e-newsletters, e-invites, interactive applications and other online interfaces. Shepherds design and review process from wireframes and storyboards to digital presentation comps to final executed products. (30%) Helps develop coherent information architecture and navigation systems for complex, multi-level sites with multiple sections and cross-linking pages. Utilizes best-case design and usability practices to enhance the end-user interface experience. Ensures projects incorporate all stakeholder requirements, employs best practices in user interface, navigation, usability, accessibility, search engine optimization, and works in all browser platforms (both PC and Mac for desktop and mobile). (30%) Collaborates closely with other Web developers and Web specialists on implementing static and interactive designs. Assist in content development and visual management for the University’s top-tier Web pages and all assigned accounts. Monitor websites for outdated info, expired pages, broken links, and technical problems. (20%) Design and produces graphics, templates, illustrations, icons, and other artwork for use in related communication projects (Web, publications, graphics, video, etc). Follows defined branding guidelines as required. (10%) Follows project specifications and adheres to production schedules and budgets for all assigned projects. Creates and updates documentation relating to project status, process, location of media assets and use. (5%) Stays abreast of current trends in Web design, usability and information architecture, including current and evolving aesthetics with demonstrated mastery of typography, color theory and use of space. (5%) Performs other duties assigned.
