To coordinate the management of multiple related projects and ongoing process improvement opportunities directed toward a common organizational goal. Organize the advisory and decision-making groups comprised of executives, senior management, other project champions/sponsors/stakeholders, project managers, and Information Technology (IT) staff to ensure projects are sequenced, aligned, and managed in a way that meets the need of the overall organizational program. Oversee the projects in the program including monitoring budget, schedule, resources, and delivery of outcomes. Accountable to deliver the specific outcomes defined by the program.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Work closely with champions, sponsors, stakeholders, and IT staff to create strategy, approach, sequencing, and timeline for projects and the overall program, focusing on clinical/business process improvements.
Provide intake mechanism for organizational ideas and lead the champion/sponsor through the initial stages of the project management methodology, to position the project for approval, and coordinate the handoff to the appropriate project manager.
Ensure multiple projects that comprise the program are linked in an effective manner to deliver the expected program outcomes and benefit, in an integrated fashion. Participate as systems/process analyst resource for the project manager to steer the project toward the program goals.
Help to resolve barriers and conflicts (resource, timing, financial, sequencing) between multiple projects and project teams. Provide oversight of program budget, resource management, and schedule. Resolve issues before they become barriers to successful project implementations. Ensure projects follow structured project management methodology.
Prepare for, coordinate, and chair the program advisory, decision-making, and steering committees, including an emphasis on a multi-disciplinary approach.
Provide and present organizational communication and education related to the program. Ensure communications are consistent and coordinated.
Provide single point of contact for champions and sponsors related to the program, or set of (or defined) projects within the program.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in a discipline related to the assigned area.
10+ years of combined healthcare, project/program management, and information systems analysis experience with an emphasis on experience with large, multi-disciplinary, complex projects and/or programs.
