The role will primarily be responsible for setting the schedule related to pooled fund product governance and maintenance, and will also be involved in informing product design and launch as a subject matter expert on registrations and documentation. This will also have management responsibility for other members of the Product Management team and will be expected to set and prioritise the projects and tasks within the team.
Role & Responsibilities
Project management of regulatory change, fund changes (e.g. fund names, objectives, policies, disclosures) and closures.
Ongoing amendments and updates to fund documentation as required by regulation (e.g. Value for Money, Fund Objective Transparency, etc) or law, or as part of Product Development initiatives in conjunction with the lead Product Developer.
Elements of the Key Investor Information Document ("KIID") production and maintenance process including: requesting new KIIDs (on behalf of sales or Product Developers), obtaining board approval of new KIIDs, cross registering new KIIDs and maintaining a master share class matrix.
Fund registrations for marketing of the product range across a wide range of jurisdictions including: initiation and maintenance of fund registrations logs; provision of fund documentation to third parties; arranging translations, certifications and filings; coordinating updates to paying and information agents agreements; country-specific documentation collation; and cross border registrations, de-registrations and fund revocations.
Working with third party service providers including fund lawyers, local distributors, local paying agents and external service providers. Disseminating and interpreting information provided by third parties as required.
Liaising with fund boards including: correspondence around document approvals, general product management and development related correspondence, facilitating ad-hoc meetings and co-ordinating product management related papers for quarterly board meetings.
Fund board director appointments and resignations: co-ordinating submission and collation of information, co-ordinating new directorship applications and making regulatory notifications in relation to appointments and resignations.
Coordination of Fund Boards for both Irish and Cayman Fund ranges, this includes quarterly meetings, where, on occasion, meetings will be attended in person, and arranging and attending of ad-hoc Board meetings. Additional collation of Board packs and circulation to Directors in a timely manner plus preparation of monthly reports and distribution to the Board of Directors
Skills & Experience Required
The successful candidate must have a proven background in product management / governance experience, with a sound knowledge of the asset management industry, pooled fund structures and fund regulatory requirements including UCITS and AIFs across a range of jurisdictions.
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills and will be able to effectively build good relationships both internally and with external service providers.
Extremely detail focused to ensure all aspects of product management and governance work are covered as required, with an awareness of the nuances of different jurisdictions along with the ability to adapt to these.
Be well organised with an ability to multi-task; the role requires the capacity to implement several initiatives at any one time.
Line management experience useful.
