Under limited supervision, develop high level design and detailed design deliverables including designs for technical architecture and system Interfaces to meet business requirements/specifications for large projects. Code and unit test. Develop or contribute to deliverables for additional levels of testing and support test execution including system level and integration tests. Frequently leads large projects. Resolve production problems of medium to high complexity. Provides guidance to those in less senior positions.
Data Center Hardware support with a focus on cabinet and structured cabling design. Position includes knowledge of cable pathways, cable racks, installation, termination, test, label, design and document backbone fiber and copper cabling.
Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus:
Familiar with structured cabling, fiber optics, security systems, video surveillance system, and audio visual systems.
Skilled in the use of Visio, excel and word.
Professional-reacts well under pressure, accepts responsibility of large projects, follows thru on commitments.
Establish standards and procedures for reporting and documentation.
Prepare estimates, proposals, punch list and scope of work for projects.
Prepare documentation including test reports, as-built drawings and cable schedules.
Consult with management, engineering and data center planning teams to determine project goals, time frame, funding to accomplish planning and implementation of projects.
BICSI certificates - RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer). RTPM (Registered Telecommunications Project Manager) DCDC (Data Center Design Consultant) and Corning Fiber Design (CFD) preferred.
Responsibilities also include monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, break/fix, and decommissioning of all data center equipment (network, storage, server, etc.).
Domicile: Collierville, TN.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Requires five (5) or more years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
