We are seeking a senior financial analyst skilled in program ownership, cross-functional leadership, and strategic financial analysis. This position will own the Company’s Global Gross Margin Program by providing margin direction, analytical tools and platforms to regional partners. In addition to the Gross Margin Program, you will also be responsible for all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for Global Manufacturing. A high level of autonomy is expected in supporting the overall objectives by providing direct finance support to the Global Manufacturing organization as well as stakeholders of the Gross Margin program.
Expense Planning & Analysis
Lead the development and compilation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, as well as forecast to actual variances analysis for the Global Sourcing and Manufacturing organization
Ensure the financial objectives inherent in financial plans are consistent with underlying strategic and operational business plans
Perform financial analysis to contribute toward controlling costs within the established budget and/or current forecast
Take active part in development of the three year strategic and long range financial plan for Global Sourcing and Manufacturing organization
Gross Margin Program Support and Execution
Support pricing and gross margin planning cycles for effective execution of the financial and profitability plans of the Company’s product lines
Develop best practices around profitability analysis to ensure that the results help drive performance and improve the accuracy of seasonal gross margin inputs into the financial plan
Provide leadership, development, and support of the Gross Margin Program, including the related technical TM1 infrastructure necessary to support performance reporting and reporting automation
Coordinate and standardize tools and processes
Support Gross Margin Program platform, building enhancement requirements and troubleshooting issues and questions
Facilitate preparation for Executive target margin setting and global margin review meetings, including Regional involvement
Set and communicate seasonal global Gross Margin Program calendar dates, including Target setting and Final pricing
Act as an internal resource and expert for users of the Gross Margin Program globally, assisting Product Line Finance teams in developing training materials and resources to build expertise and knowledge across key stakeholder groups
Assist in leading GMP evolution and expansion through specific project work, both self-defined and corporately sponsored
Ad Hoc Analysis
Support miscellaneous margin data requests not related to specific Brand or Region
Provide ad hoc analysis and support for projects and analysis of operational initiatives
Participate in special cross-functional projects as needed
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a business-related field
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in progressively responsible roles performing financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting duties
Models ability to serve as a strategic thought partner contributing meaningful improvements to the business’ financial performance and/or business processes
Manage and contribute to complex and cross-functional business analyses
Advanced problem solving skills with the ability to identify potential and/or existing issues, evaluate available options and recommend corrective action
Capable of developing strong leadership and influencing skills to drive Gross Margin Program and project management forward
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal contacts both domestically and on an international scope
Possess the ability to translate, consolidate, and prepare financial statements, budgets and forecasts
Demonstrates strong financial modeling/analysis skills (including economic analysis concepts – IRR, NPV, etc.) with ability to evaluate and translate business performance and/or business proposals into an objective business case and financial evaluation
Ability to work with and process large amounts of data and use data analysis techniques such as regression, correlations, variance analysis, etc.
Possess strong interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills and strong attention to detail
