Assists in the development and implementation of all activities related to fundraising, stewardship, and alumni and donor engagement. Primary responsibilities include outreach to alumni and donors, working with departments on fundraising initiatives on the Stratford campus at the School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM), Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) and Rowan Medicine and working with Annual Giving at Glassboro on overall fundraising efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates annual giving donor relations efforts for the Stratford Division of University Advancement. Works in coordination with Annual Giving at Glassboro to create a correlating solicitation plan that through direct mail, email, phone, social media and giving days.
Develops and leads a comprehensive annual appeal program, including strategies to incorporate alumni groups, e-campaigns, giving societies, focus on new donors, and increasing average gift amounts. Works with Senior Director of Development on theme and artistic concept.
Works with the Marketing, Communications and Outreach staff to coordinate a cohesive marketing effort to increase annual gifts through advertising, publications, social networking, and events.
Writes, edits and coordinates creation of Stratford campus giving literature.
Works with Advancement Services to be trained on University Advancement’s CRM, Abila Millennium, to request data segmentation and fundraising reports.
Coordinates all aspects of advancement special events for Stratford campus donors, students, families.
Works directly with University Advancement Events & Special Projects Manager on logistics for SOM yearly Scholarship Luncheon
Collaborate with University Advancement Stewardship Manager on gifts for alumni, donors and students
Responsible for all Stratford Campus Division of University Advancement mailings.
Oversees budgets, progress, deadlines, goals and objectives related to department and responsibilities.
Maintains office supplies and facilitates maintenance.
Coordinates meetings for the Dean’s Development Council and other groups.
Creates monthly email communications and newsletters for donors, friends, alumni and parents in conjunction with Alumni Engagement office.
Prepares gift acknowledgement communications to all donors
Familiar with iModules donor software.
Content Manager for SOM Giving website and giving forms.
Serves as a liaison between the Senior Director of Development and the Office of Student Affairs & Alumni Engagement.
Attends Alumni Association Board meetings and reports on annual fundraising progress and initiatives.
Facilitates communications among the Office of Admissions, Financial Aid Office and Foundation offices.
Oversees scholarship application and selection process with Admissions, Student Affairs, Financial Aid and Foundation offices
Serves on the Scholarship Committee with representatives from Student Affairs and Office of Admissions.
Ensures that external scholarship applications are complete and submitted in a timely manner.
Verifies the deadlines for applications and reviews all submissions.
Facilitates communication between students and Stratford campus Division of University Advancement
Point of contact for students regarding fundraising for SOM, GSBS and student clubs.
Clinical Programs Liaison:
Leads annual fundraising initiatives between the Stratford campus Office of Advancement and Rowan Medicine Departments and communicates to the Senior Director of Development the status of various initiatives.
Works closely with administrative and faculty leaders on various fundraising, including but not limited to Grateful Patient Giving Program, Annual Giving, and Continuing Medical Education.
Understands and adheres to Rowan’s compliance standards as they appear in Rowan's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
Keeps abreast of all federal, state and Rowan regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing, , Communications, English, Health Education a related field, plus two or more years of experience in fundraising, marketing, or office administration in an academic or health care program. Prior higher educational experience an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with iModules, Banner and Cascade beneficial, Qualtrics.
Ability to work occasional nights and weekends and willingness to travel regionally.
Ability to shift focus rapidly; work with multiple deadlines, juggle routine tasks and complex, special projects.
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
Independent, responsible self-starter.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and relate well to students, parents, faculty, staff, and others while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
Must possess knowledge of fundraising principles and practices and maintain a professional, polished demeanor.
Aptitude for the management and effective use of information systems in support of a development program.
