Rockwell Automation's Global Public Affairs & External Communications team is seeking a manager for its global public affairs, external communications, and corporate social responsibility strategies to tell our digital transformation story. This person will support the Director of Global Public Affairs in the development, management, and implementation of Rockwell Automation's external communications strategy domestically and international.
The ideal candidate will be a strong writer with a passion for telling stories at the nexus of people, technology and the future of automation. They should have established business media relationships in order to drive an aggressive media relations agenda aimed squarely at broadcast and top tier media outlet opportunities.
They will be responsible for executive positioning and thought leadership, and as such, should be comfortable writing for, coaching, editing and staffing senior leaders, and have just as much passion for technology as they do.
You must be committed to developing and amplifying our company's point of view on key issues and create compelling communications across traditional and digital channels designed to achieve top-tier media, build relationships, influence clients and position us as the world's most trusted automation and information company.

Building and execute communications plans to help audiences better understand Rockwell Automation's value and tell the company's story.
Integrate strategy and vision into how we communicate with a deliberate drumbeat. Build compelling stories that will tell and amplify Rockwell's digital transformation story.
Ensure message alignment and of strategic communications framework across HQ and global teams.
Craft brand reputation and risk mitigation plans and strategies.
Serve as a sounding board and trusted strategic advisor to director of global public affairs.
Manage Public Affairs and Public Relations strategy in global regions: Latin America, Asia Pacific and Europe and Middle East.
Primary driver of the company's purpose-driven corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting efforts and associated events.
Author and/or direct development of key communications materials such as newsletters, press releases, email announcements, online, intranet, video, special projects and other
Build and maintain strong relationships with top tier media in multiple markets and conduct proactive and reactive media engagement.
Development of content such as talking points, testimony, letters and other collateral for the CEO and senior leaders.
Develop and implement a robust thought leadership program.
Manage programmatic budgets and benchmarking.
Understanding of the company's value proposition to customers, differentiation, and strategy.
Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, concise insights and points.
Painstaking attention to detail.
Polished presentation and credibility; ability to influence senior management.
Proven ability to bring consistency and discipline to processes and communications.
