Job Description Summary Provide leadership, guidance, and support to volunteer leaders to build vibrant networks through alumni communities, including regional Chapters, and the development of a virtual and digital engagement program for all constituents. Works with the Senior Associate Director of Alumni and Family Engagement and Annual Giving team members to develop and implement communication and regional engagement strategies in support of alumni communities. Works on special projects that further the mission of Bentley Alumni Engagement and Advancement. Provides operational support and reviews, and enhances processes and programs in support of this work.
Regional/International Chapters - Develops and supports volunteer leadership of Bentley Chapters to advance regional engagement and collaboration. Works with diverse leaders and constituencies and serves as a conduit for communication, management, and development of volunteer leaders and the sharing of best practices. Shares best practices with both domestic and international organizations, regional and virtual organizations based on shared interest and identity, as well as assists existing and developing organizations. Assist alumni volunteers in their efforts to help create an alumni community all around the world. - 35%
Virtual Engagement - Develop a program that extends lifelong learning through the virtual space. Create programming for alumni, families and friends that serves to connect these constituents back to Bentley. - 25%
Digital Engagement - Serves as the strategic thought leader and primary project manager for a number of digital platforms, including iModules/FalconNet and Evertrue, to increase alumni interest in university programs. Develops recommendations for digital engagement opportunities. - 25%
Provides operational support and leadership in regards to department communications, website resources, and iModules support for Chapter/Affinity volunteer organization leaders including enhancing processes and training. Works closely with the Regional/International Committee of the Global Alumni Board by providing staff support, sharing analytics of the Chapters Program and identifying ways to increase engagement. Assists with department and programmatic budget as needed. Regularly assess programs via metrics and benchmarking with similar institutions. -10%
In partnership with the Senior Associate Director, cultivates relationships with leaders of alumni Communities, identifies leadership needs, recruits potential new leaders, and broadens and strengthens pipeline of volunteers. May also support committees, task forces, and working groups as needed. - 5%

4 - 8 years of alumni engagement and/or development experience, or equivalent transferable experience. Experience in higher education preferable.
Ability to travel on a monthly basis to regions across the country.
Must hold and maintain a valid, unrestricted United States driver's license, with an insurable driving history as determined by Bentley's insurance carrier.
Experience working with and managing volunteers.
Demonstrated creative planning, organizational, and project management skills; self-motivated and able to set priorities and manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
Collaborative and collegial approach to working with teams; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail with demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated technical literacy with iModules and ability learning, mastering, and communicating about system functionalities with volunteer organization leaders and improving processes for training and support.
Demonstrated aptitude for learning new systems and ability to manipulate and analyze data to inform department decision-making.
Experience managing programs independently, making process improvements, and reimagining volunteer training programs and opportunities.
Typical office setting with extensive sitting and computer & phone work
Occasional travel will be required; travel may occur outside of normal business hours including evenings and weekends
