The Global Regulatory Risk & Controls team is responsible for the global end-to-end control environment for CIB and has a number of disciplines within the department. A key area of focus and risk for the organization is managing, delivering and controlling the significant amount of regulatory change that is taking place across the industry globally. We are responsible for ensuring that JP Morgan have a best-in-class Regulatory Reporting infrastructure comprising controls, governance and reporting within Operations.
The Fixed Income Regulatory Reporting team is looking for a strong and proven individual with demonstrable business analysis skills. The team operates across three locations in: London, Bournemouth and Mumbai.
The role is very broad in terms of coverage and requires strong delivery skills, the ability to break down complex issues, provide solutions, as well as excellent communications, influencing and negotiating skills - across senior levels of the bank (ED and above). You will be called upon to address high-profile, high-impact, cross line of business regulatory demands.
You will work with our business stakeholders, perform deep-dive analysis to provide and drive consensus for solutions, and coordinate with our technology partners to deliver the solutions. You will partner extensively with the lines of business, Legal, Compliance, Audit, Technology and Corporate Operational Risk. The candidate should be able to work independently but as part of the wider team. This role provides a breadth and depth of visibility across the CIB CAO organization with extensive cross-functional and cross-business exposure, and the opportunity to creatively problem-solve on a broad scale, supporting internally-owned tools such as the RADAR regulatory report inventory and addressing emerging regulations Key Responsibilities
Performing existing control and reporting obligations within the team to daily deadlines.
Provide analysis and comment on reported flows in response to internal queries and queries from regulators, treasuries and agencies
To provide guidance to members of Transaction Management and other areas of the business of regulatory implications of new and existing flows.
Providing business requirements for the building of processes and controls to facilitate completeness and accuracy assessment of reports for Regulators, Agencies & Treasuries
To write and validate procedures in relation to new reports and processes to ensure Compliance and Audit are comfortable with our controls environment.
Key Experience Required
A deep background in banking & capital markets, with a strong understanding of the products and markets in which the CIB operate,
Product knowledge in Money Markets, and Securities Financing Transactions (desirable)
Experience with Operations trade life-cycle and exposure to Trade and Transaction Reporting,
Experience working within regulatory reporting and regulatory change agenda
Experience of working in risk and controls area (desirable),
Excellent project management skills with proven track record in delivering complex and challenging pieces of work to firm deadlines,
Agile product ownership and technology team management,
Experience in business analysis, business documentation and implementation
Key Skills & Competencies
