The company is a pan-European real estate private equity firm with over 100 people across eight locations in Europe, although predominantly based in their London head office. Their investors include some of the largest pension funds, insurers and private wealth offices and they manage in excels of £10bn.
They are looking for a new hire within their Operations Team. This person will report to the Director of Operations who is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing business development initiatives across the firm and interfacing with employees throughout the organisation. As the company continues to grow, the Business Development Associate will support the Director of Operations by managing strategic initiatives specific to the Investments Team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading team and work directly with senior members of the firm, whilst playing an important role in its continued growth. The candidate needs to be a confident self-starter, able to understand the business and build relationships quickly so that they can support the Operations function with developing and implementing new initiatives on behalf of the Investment Team.
Liaise with the Head of Investments to agree priority work streams to support the ongoing growth and operational development of the Investment Team
Interface with the broader team and other business units to gather the appropriate input and to coordinate the development and implementation of new initiatives
Assist in the creative development of new processes and systems
Project managing the implementation of new processes and strategic initiatives within agreed timeframes, including setting, driving and monitoring the deliverability of key actions
Performing research, gathering information, building databases and creating / tracking analyses of key metrics that will support strategic decisions
Manage agendas, minutes and actions for the Investment Team meetings
Help to build templates, frameworks and procedures to support the Investment Team with the efficient and effective management of transactions
Help to develop specific training sessions as needed
Help to support and drive effective communication throughout the firm
Help to support the effective development and management of relationships with external stakeholders (Operating Partners, Brokers, Advisors)
Help to ensure that the Investment Team remain compliant in adhering to all the internal procedures required for the successful completion a Transaction
Support other firm-wide projects and strategic initiatives as necessary - this may be up to a third of the person's time
Experience of Corporate Strategy gained in-house or with a consulting firm
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and develop relationships quickly (with both junior and senior members of the
