The Role Responsibilities
This role is reporting to the Global Head of Operational Risk for Functions and is a key member of the Group Operational Risk team. The project manager will be primarily responsible for:
planning and driving the target Operating Model changes as part of Group and Country Operational Risk initiative.
Support other change initiatives to simplify and enhance operational risk practices at Group level
The Project Manager will work with key stakeholders to plan for the Group and Country OR strategic programme and collaborate with various functions to mobilise resources and implement the solutions with the appropriate level of resources required to deliver a successful outcome.
Ensure that project is appropriately planned and managed to deliver according to defined goals and objectives.
Ensure that the integrity of the project is maintained, focussing on internal consistency and compliance to governance, standards, processes and strategies
Define the Project Management Plan and drive the successful delivery of related initiatives in line with approved project scope and commitments
Support the Accountable Executive in setting up the Project Steering Group and meeting preparations to ensure effectiveness of meetings
Effectively manage the dependencies between the projects/workstreams and ensure delivery of committed output
Drive appropriate engagement with key stakeholders involving Group and Country Operational Risk, as well as any relevant functions (Compliance, technology, ...)
Manage project progress against standard criteria across cost, schedule, benefits and ensuring monthly status reports and ensure timely communication to stakeholders.
Continuously assess project risks and ensure that material risks, issues and dependencies are tabled and resolved in a timely manner
Work closely with affected business areas in transitioning the project into core business, supporting the realisation of benefits whilst maintaining operational stability
Ensure change management deliverables, including communications, training and procedures are at appropriate levels of quality.
Work with 1 st and 2 nd line stakeholders to plan for the Operational Risk Target operating model
Our Ideal Candidate
Solid experience in managing a programme or large project with interdependencies across multiple streams, preferably in the Risk management domain
Strong experience in Operational Risk Management and / or Audit
Qualification in project management or equivalent
Proven experience in people management skills
Strong interpersonal skills and a good team player, able to manage across organizational lines
Proficient in project management tools and practical aspect of monitoring & managing project progress and financials
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to understand and translate complex business information into technical solutions and vice versa and communicate these technical solutions to business stakeholders.
Ability to work on time critical deliveries in a fast paced working environment
Understands and applies Financial dynamics
