Description The Systems Integration (SI) team is part of Information Technology and responsible for implementing a combination of technology and process solutions to interface and integrate disparate clinical and business applications at UC Davis Health System.

Qualifications REQUIRED -Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills/experience. -Experience with healthcare interface and data integration concepts,such as HL7 and/or other industry: standard data exchange protocols. -Experience with clinical information systems in an acute hospital or primary care clinic environment.
PREFERRED -Knowledge of project management concepts and methodologies and a history of applying effective leadership to project activities to deliver project on time and within scope. -Knowledge and analytical skills for developing application and departmental workflow and data specifications for ADT, orders, results, etc. -Experience with Epic Bridges, Radiant, Prelude, Cadence, Resolute, EpicCare Inpatient or Ambulatory, Procedure & Medication Orders, OR significant experience with another EHR application or interfaces. -Certified in one or more Epic modules (Inpatient, Ambulatory, ED ASAP, Procedure Orders, etc.) -Experience with the analysis of clinical department processes and workflows. -Experienced with Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project. -Knowledge of HL7 Interface Standard. -Experience with another Interface Engine. -Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Responsibilities The Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for both project-oriented and some day-to-day operations of enterprise-wide interface analysis, design, troubleshooting, support, and testing activities. The Systems Integration Engineer may lead projects as an assigned project manager. The Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for resolving a wide range of business processes, system functionality, implementation issues and system and software integration issues.
The Systems Integration Engineer will be called upon for determining technical solutions and process requirements pertaining to the integration of EMR and departmental applications.
