The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks innovative, energetic, and accomplished candidates for the position of Business Systems Analyst in the Office of the University Registrar (OUR). This position will serve as a primary consultant to the Associate Registrar for Graduation/NCAA, Curriculum, Reporting and Documentation/Training/ Provisioning (DTP) in the analysis of operational procedures to produce user documentation for all functional areas in the Office of the University Registrar. These include procedures in Classroom Scheduling, Records and Enrollment Services, Student Athlete Eligibility certification, Curriculum, Reporting, and Degree Audit in both University and 3rd party systems. Also serves as a security provisioning backup in the areas of Scheduling, Security Provisioning, Training, and Documentation. Helps to recommend, implement, test, and maintain appropriate new technologies to support the functions and process documentation of each of these areas.
The role will be part of a team responsible for the security provisioning for the entire office. Additionally, this position will share responsibility for providing training to the OUR and campus users in areas such as reporting tools including PS query, InfoPorte, Excel, and other tools. The role also assists with maintaining and making updates to the OUR website.
This position will report directly to the Associate University Registrar for Graduation/NCAA, Curriculum, Reporting and DTP and will serve as part of a team of technical consultants and support technicians who will support the functional needs of the office as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Education and Experience:
-Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills. -Knowledge of project management principals and processes. -Familiarity with business processes and procedures as they relate to the functions of a Registrar’s office preferred. -Experience with PeopleSoft or comparable ERP system preferred.
