This position works with the Community of Care (COC) team to help students overcome obstacles that stand in the way of personal anda cademic succssess at Loyola Marymount University. Additional duites will include supporting other Student Affairs programs.
Typically a Bachelor's degree. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes. And, to remain current with student affairs and higher education crisis management, student behavior, assessment and research literature, best practices, continuous quality improvement (CQI) and related technologies.
Minimum of 5 years working experience with student services.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the areas associated with student case management, organization, planning, decision-making, problem solving, strategic thinking and effective use of resources.
Understanding of and commitment to our Catholic, Jesuit, and Marymount values and traditions.
Ability to work creatively and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Strong commitment to working with diverse populations, excellent interpersonal skills including written, oral and digital communication.
Demonstrated computer competency.
