This position will spport the Vet2Peer program, Veterans certificate program and the overall Vet2Peer initiative. This position will be the first point of contact for students and among the LMU Extension staff in regard to the certificate program.
Typically a High School diploma or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Minimum 2 years administrative support experience.
Must demonstrate an interest in community mental health and veterans
Knowledge of digital communications, social media, Outlook, Word, Excel
Must be able to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and acquire new skills, be open to challenge self with new tasks, and be able to perform tasks accurately and efficiently
Must employ interpersonal actions that model high standards of professional, accountable, and ethical conduct
Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
The holder of this position must demonstrate a high expectation of reliability, confidentiality, be self-motivated and be able to work as a member of a team
Prefer someone with lived experience as either a veteran or as an immediate family member of a veteran
