We are seeking an Executive Assistant to manage operations and provide administrative support to the Dean of the School of Professional Studies. Responsibilities include: ensure smooth functioning of office; serve as a liaison with various departments and administrative offices within the School, University, and with the Senior Leadership Team, including the President and Provost; manage Dean's communications by editing and/or drafting general correspondence, reports to the faculty and central administration, briefings, agendas, meeting minutes, committee reports. Communicate with internal and external contacts on behalf of the Dean. Lead and participate in various special projects for Dean as required. Act as primary contact for the Dean’s schedule and represent the Office as necessary; manage budgets, reimbursements and purchasing and ensure adherence to University financial policies and procedures.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in higher education or related field
Required Experience: 5+ years relevant professional level experience or an equivalent combination. Must include prior administrative experience managing executive-level operations and budget management.
Preferred Experience: Project management and/or program administration; prior experience/familiarity with higher education and/or healthcare administration; international exposure/experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to interact respectfully with deans, administrators, faculty, students, distinguished visitors, and international guests. Strong writing skills. Proven ability to manage/balance a budget, implement a variety of projects simultaneously, communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels, and use problem solving skills. Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel, Google suite, and strong computing skills necessary to learn University’s web-based financial management systems.
