Grade ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 09A
The Location: New York, NY
The Team: Our team is truly global, with colleagues from Hong Kong to Colorado. While we each have our area of expertise, we happily share our well-crafted skills with one another to broaden the entire team's strengths. We also share our time and perspectives, because we know we succeed only together.
The Impact: You will help the Communications Team tell a consistent story --- both to the media and to employees --- about Market Intelligence's vision, goals, wins and people.
What's in it for you: This is a great opportunity for you to experience the wide scope Communications offers as a career. Whether you are deciding to build your career in employee communications, media relations or digital communications, we'll help you gain the skills needed to succeed in any of these specialties and much more.
Work with colleagues down the hall and across the globe; each day begins with a team check-in to catch up on one another's accomplishments and solve problems.
Write, write and write some more! You will be one of two "reporters" on our team; you will write stories for our intranet and weekly newsletter that catch employees' attention and help them learn new things about the division.
Craft and pitch stories to the press to promote Market Intelligence's intellectual research, products and data.
Help with the daily management of media inquiries.
Video production! Sometimes the best way to tell a story is through video. Work with our in-house Studios team to tell a story visually.
Use basic graphic design tools and royalty-free photos to put a visual polish on those stories you write or social media content you create.
Work with our social media team to create content for our accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Attend media events, press conferences, webinars or media briefings in New York with more-experienced colleagues to learn how to further establish and promote the brand.
What We're Looking For:
4-year college degree in communications, journalism, writing, marketing or relevant experience
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and strong relationship-building skills
Ability to work within a team across multiple time zones
Ability to follow directions, escalate challenges, and produce a finished project that meets or exceeds expectations
Internship or prior experience in Communications or related field is a plus
