Administrative Coordinator I (Program Coordinator), Graduate and Executive Education, Haslam College of Business
The Haslam College of Business at The University of Tennessee is seeking an Administrative Coordinator II for its Graduate and Executive Education programs. This is a non-exempt, 12-month, full-time, staff position.
The primary responsibilities of the Program Coordinator position include, but are not limited to, providing day-to-day program operations, student services, and program delivery support for the 6 Executive MBA programs and 10+ non-degree course offerings within the Graduate and Executive Education area. To accomplish this, the coordinator will need to work effectively with other program coordinators as well as in cross-functional teams, provide student support for busy working professionals, and collaborate frequently with other university departments and external institutions. Providing the highest standards of customer service is essential as the lasting relationships built with internal and external stakeholders directly contributes to continued business success.
Must have a strong attention to detail; commitment to customer service; adaptability, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to communicate with many different types of people, including executives, faculty, and corporate customers. Candidates should also have excellent organizational ability, project management skills, and oral and written communication skills. Successful candidates will also have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University.
Day to Day Program Operations, Student Services, and Delivery *This position serves as the key point person for delivering exceptional program operations and student services for the program(s) assigned, which may include Executive MBA as well as non-degree programs. Program operations and delivery usually includes planning and coordinating efforts for programs with multiple residency periods, both on and off campus, every year. Student services includes support for busy working professionals, making it as easy as possible for them to stay organized and understand their class and university requirements. Some early mornings, evenings, and weekends required.
Organizational Scheduling, Process Improvement, and Financial Accountability *This position provides general support as needed for staff and faculty in the delivery of educational services across all programs in GEE and helps define the processes necessary for successful program implementation, which includes exceptional service and financially prudent decision-making.
Business Development/ Other Support *This position will have a support role in recruiting and admitting new students for future programs. This position may also assist current and prospective students in other ways, such as admissions processing, international travel documentation requirements, etc.
