The University of Pittsburgh Office of the Registrar is seeking a qualified Student Records Analyst. This position assists Student Records and Graduation service area in leveraging technology to ensure operational efficiency, improve business processes and streamline workflows; managing electronic and hard-copy file maintenance and digital imaging initiatives for the area; periodically assist in the development/maintenance of database queries; make recommendations to better utilize PeopleSoft student information system to support area functions.
This position also responsible for performing a variety of detailed tasks including processing and auditing graduation and transcript update documents and retroactive/special requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with university policies and procedures and proper authorizations have been received; and supporting university grade processing. Respond to in-person, telephone, and email inquiries regarding student academic records, the interpretation of University policies and procedures, and best-practices for using PeopleSoft student information system.
A minimum of three-to-five years of experience working in a university setting, preferred. Ability to leverage technology to ensure operational efficiency. Knowledge of Student Record functions within a university setting. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures and perform varied, detailed functions. Knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended. Good analytical and communication skills for problem resolution. A minimum of three-to-five years of experience working in a university setting, preferred.
