Sports Information Assistant - Digital Media Specialist Office of Communications Williams College, a Division III institution and a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), invites applications for a Sports Information Assistant position for the academic year 2019-2020. This is a full-time, 9-month, term appointment with the possibility of renewal. This position is set to begin September 1, 2019, through May 31, 2020. Reporting to, and working closely with the Sports Information Director, this position will support the Office of Sports Information’s day-to-day communications needs, with an emphasis on video production and social media. Responsibilities - Create highlight videos and hype videos - Conduct video interviews with players and coaches - Create engaging content for social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) - Record statistics, including live statistics, for all home games that require in-game scoring - Create game-day programs, postseason media guides, and other publications - Serve as liaison with NESCAC, NCAA, and athletics officials from other institutions - Some evening, weekend, and holiday hours are required Qualifications - Excellent interpersonal, computer, communication, and organizational skills - BA and experience in a campus communications/sports information office - Experience creating video packages and knowledge of video editing software, especially Adobe Premiere - Familiarity with Adobe After Effects is a plus - Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) - Candidates should have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with student-athletes, athletic personnel, and all other members of the college community - Experience with PrestoSports statistics platforms is desirable Review of applicants will begin July 30, 2019 and will continue until the position is filled.
