The Ecommerce User Experience Analyst (UX) acts a customer advocate and works collaboratively with cross-functional team to keep solutions user-centered through various stages of development. This role performs research to further understand our end-users, design solutions by creating wireframes, seeks to validate solutions and facilitate design/discovery sessions. The UX Analyst will work on websites, apps, configurators and/or other company branded digital touchpoints. They will contribute to building a new UX practice by introducing user centered principles and techniques to the teams they work with. They also communicate the value of UX in building products that are successful for the business.
Works with front end developers, application developers, business analysts, quality assurance, and project managers to facilitate requirements sessions with business partners and cross-functional team members.
Leverage data and insights to inform design decisions during different stages of the development within an Agile framework. Communicate need/take action to vet designs, gather data and assess risk to ensure that the user experience is upheld.
Create UX deliverables (information architecture, wireframes or Axure prototypes) to communicate direction and interaction states for new content, features or functionalities. (This includes various user types, happy path, error messaging, different scenarios and edge cases.)
Architects experience using mobile first and modular design approach. Helps contribute/maintain design system (style guide and component library).
Ideate and envision new experiences, features, apps and flows. Create conceptual visuals to communicate new solutions, opportunities and spark discussion.
Conduct fundamental research activities, including but not limited to: usability testing, user observation, interviewing, competitive analysis, data analysis, surveys and other research activities.
Understand analysis of user research findings to identify customer needs, customer behavior, usability improvements and areas of opportunity. Assist in the creation of user research deliverables that concisely communicate key findings and facilitate discussion (journey maps, personas, usability test results, recommendations and more).
Participate in collaborative workshops to identify end-user needs and ideate solutions.
Interfaces with project managers and teams and communicates progress of requirements gathering and documentation activities against project timelines and deliverables.
3-5 years Digital/eCommerce or related field.
3-5 years experience working with B2B or B2C eCommerce (B2B preferred).
3 years experience working with an eCommerce Platform (preferably SAP Hybris).
3 years experience working collaboratively with business stakeholders and cross-functional eCommerce team to design and execute solutions.
3-5 years experience with all digital channels, including web, mobile, apps and social; experience with scanning, voice search, chat, and mobility solutions a plus.
1-3 years experience in an agile/scrum environment.
Workshop facilitation experience preferred.
Bachelors’ Degree in business or in human-computer interaction (HCI), visual design or related required.
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Userzoom (or similar user research tools)
Fullstory (or similar session recording tools)
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and programming languages
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Proven ability to plan and design user research activities (interviewing, usability testing, and/or other research activities).
Proven ability to conducting user research (interviewing, usability testing, and/or other research activities).
Proven ability to perform analysis of user research findings and create supporting research deliverables.
Demonstrated ability to create UX deliverables to communicate new design direction or features. (Wireframes, conceptual visuals, Axure prototypes, Invision prototypes, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to create UX deliverables that support development through definition of the following: interaction states, different scenarios, error handling, edge cases.
Design and facilitate collaborative workshops to identify end-user needs and ideate solutions.
Responsive design experience.
Familiarity with building/using component libraries and/or modular design approach.
