This is an 18-month limited-term position.
The Project Manager will support Office of Global Inclusion, Diversity and Strategic Innovation goals by providing research and analysis on key topics and areas of strategic interest, and also by managing projects and deliverable schedules. The incumbent will assist with building project and program plans, aid in program and strategy implementation, including budgets and human resource plans, as well as produce reports, agendas, dashboards and minutes for project team meetings.
The Project Manager will design, manage, and implement all marketing and communications activities related to post Being@NYU strategies. They will develop broader strategic media strategy that will include brand design and messaging, digital content creation, and marketing for both internal and external audiences. The incumbent will design materials for dissemination, produce and maintain website and social media content, as well as prepare correspondence and other communication materials. The Project Manager will follow up on press and media content promptly. The incumbent will monitor, analyze, and communicate results on a regular basis.
Experience working in a higher-education environment. BA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline.
5 years’ relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience conducting primary research, administering academic or organizational programs, and preparing budgets. Experience using social media platforms to engage stakeholders effectively, including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the like. Marketing experience, including tracking, analysis and reporting of data and results.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong organizational and project management skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to develop and sustain effective relationships in support of organizational goals. Ability to work and communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders in individual and group settings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications and with various social media platforms. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Solid knowledge of SEO (search engine optimization), social media, and digital marketing tools. Proficiency in Adobe Suite and CMS (content management systems). Proven track record designing and executing successful media campaigns. Ability to generate compelling content that engages and motivates diverse audiences via website, newsletter, social media, etc.
