Craft3’s consumer lending business unit develops and delivers consumer loans that meet identified community needs and are uniquely designed for a wide range of borrowers, including those with low-moderate incomes and challenged-credit histories. We currently offer consumer loans for home energy, clean water and to support women transitioning into the high-tech workforce. Our team consists of consumer lenders, loan servicing, program and portfolio management professionals who embrace creative lending and use smart credit risk management practices to achieve these goals with low rates of loss.
The Closing Specialist (CS) provides an essential role in facilitating the loan closing process with responsibility for preparing and releasing loan documentation to facilitate loan closing and managing loan disbursements to ensure proper funding and repayment scheduling. This position aids with review of loan closing processes with an emphasis on increasing the productivity and efficiency of the Consumer Lending team. The CS provides support, on occasion, by processing loan applications, and collecting support documentation necessary to successfully close consumer loans.

Associate of Arts or higher degree preferred, with business or accounting concentration; or 2-4 years equivalent combination of education and experience. One-year of related experience in a consumer lending, credit union, banking, CDFI environment, or other customer service focused environment; preference for experience with loan processing, funding, and strong administrative skills. Strong preference for experience with loan documentation, specifically for loans secured by Fixture Filing or Deed of Trust.
