Job Purpose / Background:
The Product Analyst role is based in New York. The role is responsible for supporting all BlackRock Funds registered or listed in Latin America and ensuring that our internal teams and external partners are serviced at the highest level. The Product Analyst works closely with the Sales teams to ensure that the right investment vehicles are available to local investors. This candidate will also contribute to the successful delivery and ongoing maintenance of high quality passive / indexed products for the region. This role will provide an opportunity to be a key player in a strategic and dynamic environment that provides exposure to a wide variety of new product development, business processes and markets across the region.
Lead the approval process, including coordination within BlackRock and external partners, to facilitate the registration of BlackRock's funds with local pension fund regulators
Lead the cross-listing processes, including setting a listing pipeline and timelines in agreement with internal teams: Sales, Legal, Compliance, Marketing and Web
Implement procedures for registrations and listings, mitigating risks and considering regulatory obligations
Coordinate and manage relationship with index and product vendors
Communicate global product changes and launches that are relevant to the region
Generate annual reports of registered products for regulators in the region
Partner with other members of the LAI product team and other cross-functional teams to deliver new passive products to market and enhance the existing local ETF range.
Adapt existing products to regulatory and tax changes, revised market standards, vendor notifications and client feedback to ensure ongoing relevance and acceptance.
An ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of experience and show the following qualities:
Spanish and/or Portuguese required
Strong project management experience, excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills
Strong relationship management skills with internal and external partners to deliver results
Excellent communication skills, ability to coordinate meetings and conduct effective briefings/presentations
Strong integrity and ethics
BA/BS in Finance, Economics or related field strongly preferred
Experience and understanding of exchange traded funds is a plus
