The Technology & Information Risk department is seeking a junior Business Analyst to join a small, global team.
The Technology Regulatory and Client Engagement (TRCE) Team fulfils the following responsibilities for the Technology & Data organization: - Provides transparency to Technology & Data Senior Management about the status of: - Fulfilling all technology-related requests received globally - Progress with remediating regulatory and audit findings - Ensures responses to technology-related requests are fulfilled efficiently, consistently, accurately, and timely - Maintains an archive of responses to technology-related requests - Facilitates timely closure of technology-related regulatory and audit findings by advising on remediation plan development and execution - Partners with the BUISOs to assist in the identification, understanding and management of Information Security Risks
- Assuming a junior business analyst role for the team's suite of applications: - Suggesting and supporting the development of tooling enhancements and exploring the option of adopting new tools to streamline and better support the team's activities - Explore opportunities for automation - Provide support for the groups applications and tools - Seek ways in which to improve data quality within the teams data stores - Assisting the team in developing new processes whilst maintaining the existing set of processes - When required providing project management support for the TRCE teams activities - Tracking of the team's process improvement activities - Produce reports on the teams process improvement activities - Provision of metrics to support TRCE management decision making
- Experience of Business Analysis preferably across both IT and Business change based projects within a financial services organization - Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a proven track record of participating in the delivery of innovative solutions - Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple demands and changing priorities. Detail oriented. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. - Ability to draft high quality written products, such as requirements documentation and project artifacts that are comprehensive and accurate - Ability to quickly learn new skills, tools and techniques and employ them efficiently - Strong background in the use of MS Office suite especially - Advanced Excel with the ability to develop macros - Proven experience developing professional PowerPoint decks suitable for senior management presentation - Background in using Word to develop professional grade documentation - SharePoint - Understanding and experience of setting up libraries, sites, pages administering permissions
- Experiencing working as a business analyst within the technology risk function of a financial services organization - Industry Certification such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC - Experience using and managing large data sets using tools such as Excel and Qlikview - Experience with MS InfoPath - Understanding/knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, internal controls and industry technology risk management frameworks such as ITIL, CobiT, and ISO 27001 - Awareness of financial markets and regulations impacting technology risk management processes including technology governance, information security, business continuity planning, systems development, project management and supplier management - Experience working within an Agile environment - Experience managing small/medium size projects utilizing MS Project
